Great Expectations

Up until yesterday the majority of my cardio workouts while pregnant have been swimming and walking . . . and more walking. However, yesterday I was feeling super fit and mobile and figured that I could easily tackle a turn on the elliptical machine. I mean, it's just the elliptical right? Oh how wrong I was! About a minute thirty into my 15 minute elliptical climb (15 minutes people, we aren't talking Ironman!) my ab muscles began to burn like I had just spent a 24 hour sessions with the 10 minute abs team! Seriously, I expected to climb down off the machine, lift up my shirt and see at least a new 6 pack of abs peeking out through the bump, no such luck! Let's just say that from now on this soon to be mom will be sticking to yoga!

Of course thinking about yoga got me to thinking about Lululemon, who carries the world's most gorgeous work out clothes, and thinking about Lululemon got me thinking about cute athletic clothes for kiddos, which led me to one of my favorite daily reads Design Mom. Athletic clothes I did not find, but what I did find was even better, Gabrielle Blair the genius behind Design Mom, had just held a back-to-school photo shoot with her daughter Maude! These photos are absolutely adorable and the entire spread was put together with $150.00 and finds that were already in Maude's closet. Baby Sliger definitely has a Design Mom style photo shoot to look forward to in his future! I heart this idea!
