Notes From the Nursery

Since Jackson's arrival I've stayed clear of my favorite baby (shopping) sites, mostly due to a lack of time, but today I just couldn't help myself. Check out some of my favorite finds & newest trends in baby chic.

First find: Bedding & Pillows by Catherine Fitzsimmons of Rickshaw Designs. These textiles are the perfect choice for those parents wanting to infuse some of their pre-baby-days adventures into their little one's life. I (obviously) love the Indian influence but appreciate how the prints are done in such soft pallets bringing a feeling of peace & serenity that is a nursery must have! And the elephant pillow??? In the words of a certain stylist we all know, "I Die".

The global flair continues as we move into the playroom! Check out this amazingly playful Monkey Poof from Zid Zid Kids. Yes, it's soft. Yes, it's seating. And, yes, it's beyond cute! Thinking outside the wooden chair box, these poofs would be a charming surprise placed around a wooden arts & craft table.

Always a fan of wooden toys (hey, daddy was a carpenter!), I was immediately drawn to these eco-friendly "snappy" blocks from Tegu. Not your everyday building blocks, these smart little guys have magnets in them, making it easy for your little builder to instantly create anything they can dream up. These are also a huge hit with design happy daddies!

Nothing groundbreaking here, just a huge dose of cuteness. You cannot help but smile when looking at these adorable ducks, which are a play on the classic rubber ducky. Besides being cute these guys light up when squeezed . . . instant smiles for both mom & baby! Ahhhh, shucks.
