While we were there we visited the weekly farmer's market (in which the entire island turns out for), played at the fall fair (too cute!), visited a few of the many, many art studios, and chatted it up with a number of very friendly residents, all who had great stories to tell about their journey to Salt Springs.
Check out some pictures of our BC adventure & thank you Salt Springs for welcoming us with open arms!

Top Row: Our cute little ocean view cabin that sat on top of a mountain (talk about serene!), us on the ferry, the view from our deck.
Middle Rows: My GQ hubby at the marina, a great street sign (maybe a little inspiration!?), our morning visitor, the amazingly clear water (even the wildlife is about clean living up here!!), our deck . . . ahhhh.
Bottom Row: More daily visitors, Brad standing on the property we found that's just screaming for our dream house, the cabin kitchen.

Top Row: Moo cows at the fair, amazing finds at the farmer's market (the owner of this stand also runs the beautiful Foxglove Farms on the island & travels the world teaching the how-to's of sustainable farming - love this guy!!), me at the country fair.
Middle Rows: Brad admiring the fire department's vintage ride, the makings of our Saturday night feast ~ all purchased at the farmer's market, more beautiful veggies, Salt Springs version of the ever popular Ugly Doll.
Bottom Row: The market!, more fun at the fair, beautiful fall gardens.
And I have to give a little individual praise to Cedar Mountain Gallery. Not only did this artist bring me to tears (no laughing, I'm pregnant people!!) with her inspiring life story, but her work is amazing! Check out the uber cute, vintage art block that I bought for the nursery from Cedar Mountain. After all, it's never too early to introduce a little Dylan into your kiddo's life!

Unbelievably jealous!! You and Brad look like you had an amazing time, and I think you captured the feel of the island so well. You know I love that street sign inspiration (wink)! Good for you two for making the parents retreat happen. Getting so excited to meet your little bundle!
