Shower Power

These past few months I have been a very lucky girl, having been treated to not one, but three, baby showers! Brad, baby, and I have been overwhelmed at the amount of love, generosity, and excitement we have been shown by our friends and family. Like I said LUCKY!

Here are some pictures from my last shower thrown by a number of my best Seattle girls & hosted by fellow mama Kristie Stewart. In true Martha fashion these ladies pulled out all the stops with tons of cute details, all my favorite eats (including a sweets bar - hello Top Pot Doughnuts - for all those pregnancy cravings), yummy mock & cocktails, and even animal cracker party favors. Great job ladies and THANK YOU, you're amazing!! In the words of Oprah ladies, "Love is in the details" and man, do I ever feel loved!

The entire day was a blast but there were definitely some unforgettable (sob-fest) moments, including a surprise "visit" from Auntie Shannon via web-cam, a gift & VERY sweet letter from daddy Brad to our baby (sob, sob!), and some very special gifts from Grandma Cooper! In addition to showering this baby with endless gifts and preparing her house for baby, my mom gave us two very special additions to our baby's library: "I'll Love You Forever" . . . a must have classic that she dedicated to our little one & "Daddy's First Baby Book" circa 1979, which was given to my dad when I was just a baby bump. Worn & torn, all it's memories & wisdom has now been dedicated & delivered to Brad. Thanks mom!!!
