Week In Pictures

With Jackson's first birthday less than a month away the preparations around here are in full swing . . . once a party planner always a party planner . . . and since I know my days are numbered as lead planner & shortly Jackson will be demanding pizza and paper Sponge bob plates at the local bouncy house I'm taking full advantage. While I'm not quite ready (ie: organized) to reveal everything that I have planned for Jackson's big day, there will be a posting dedicated to all the party haps soon enough!

Over the last few weeks of planning, dreaming, and "researching" for party day I have come across a large number of websites and blogs dedicated solely to designer children's birthday parties. Who knew? This movement of highly stylized, theme parties, brimming with artistic, homemade touches are sure to delight guests both young and old(er). The idea of extraordinary (or designer, if you prefer) parties for kiddos is one that I know is completely frivolous & a little self indulgent for the party planner, but let's be honest, also sooooooooo much fun.

Here are a few of my favorite spreads that have been featured on the charming blog Kara's Party Ideas.
