Sligers Gone Supermodel

Seeing that Jackson is already 13 months old we figured it was time for some good old family photos . . . only done our way. Ever since our very fun, 1920's inspired, maternity shoot I have been dreaming up backdrops for our family photo shoot, the problem, all of  my ideas were stuck in summertime weather.

Enter the fabulous Arlene Chambers. . .

The MOMENT I saw her portfolio I called and begged for her to squeeze us into her busy schedule (budding photographer + full time mommy) and somehow, someway transform us into one of the model families beautifying the pages of her website. Arlene, being her amazing self, suggested a location that can only be described as the abandoned parking lot where you would go to live in your van . . . down by the river. Add in the worst rain storm we have had in months (we are talking flood status here folks), a very demanding and overtired one-year-old, a wardrobe change in the car, and did I mention it was raining? A lot?

The result . . . pure photo magic! While, at first, the girl in me could only see my imperfections magnified to a scary degree (come on ladies, we've all been there!), I'm learning to see past the mama-body and truly enjoy how amazingly beautiful these photos really are. Gotta give it to my boys for putting their best smiles forward! Well enough chatter, these pics speak for themselves.

I can't say enough about Arlene and believe it's no exaggeration when I say she's nothing short of a genius, not to mention super cute and a total sweetheart. . . can you say total package :)!?
