Happy New Year's everyone! Wow, what a year 2009, full of change, trials, but overall joy and now I'm ready to ring in the new chapter of the Sliger saga, so bring on 2010! Like every year I have made a slew of resolutions (the more you make the less guilty you feel when you break one right? . . . see there's a method to my madness!), but my most important resolution is to NURTURE - my mind, body, soul, and yes even my sass (ladies, we forget how important this quality is!!). Why nurture me? In hopes of being a better wife, mother, friend, and overall woman . . . in a word, I want to bring my best self forward. Hopefully on my quest to 'nurture thyself' I will come across some amazing ideas & experiences that I can pass along to you, and today's no disappointment! Here are two great quotes that not only made me smile but inspired the heck out of me.

ENJOY THE RIDE . . . being the queen of "what's next" I'm vowing to actually live this sentiment this year! Be sure to remind me to enjoy the next time you see me! Hmmm . . . a weekly trip to the spa should help me enjoy more right? KIDDING . . . sort of!

What can I say, to me, this quote sums up what life should be! I hope Jackson grows up with the same love of discovery as his parents. Here's to new adventures, resolutions, and of course new beginnings! But hey, what have we been up to for the last month? Jackson's first holiday season of course! Brad and I tried to be present (aka: awake!) for every great moment so 1. updating the blog and 2. taking pictures (can you say rookie parents!?) weren't high on the priority list, but we did manage to capture a few of are best December moments on camera!
Our annual Christmas Tree hunt! The theme this year - happy chaos - a group of seventeen including 4 babies! Aren't we brave? Don't worry all the parents rewarded themselves by going to the first Christmas cocktail party of the season later that night!

Some great December days: time with Santa (baby model was SO not on Jackson's agenda that day), celebrating with the ladies, Jackson hanging out by the Christmas tree with Grandpa Merv & cousin Jessie!

Our New Year's Eve cabin trip! Four days of food, drink, snow (ish), and great friends. Make that four days of 8 chefs all trying to out "top chef" each other plus a ridiculous amount of champagne . . . the makings of a spectacularly indulgent weekend and the perfect close to a great year!

For Jackson every day is a photo shoot, so here are some great moments just around the house! My god how this kid grows & changes each day! It's fabulous!

Hope everyone had a great holiday season!

 xoxo, K & B
